Here's a photo from the online portfolio of a model I'll be working with later this month. The BEFORE version is how the photo looked when I first saw it. I felt genuinely bad that she was given a good photograph in such poor condition. In fact, I pulled it off the site, gave it the Photoshop attention it deserved, and sent it back to her. Not surprisingly, she was very pleased with the transformation.
I've worked with tons of tremendous photographers over the years and most often I find the ones that really stand out are the ones who make it a point to add value to their work after it comes out of the camera. In my mind, it's just part of being a professional. And, when it's all said and done, that's usually what makes the difference between a good photograph and a great one.
