A couple of weeks ago, I had this great plan to spend about 5 hours in the studio working on all kinds of fun lighting arrangements. Then Murphy showed up! For reasons too boring to expand upon, Marissa, my fabulous model, and I wound up with only about an hour to work together. To get as much out of the session as possible, I had to abandon my grand plans in favor of a simpler, more versatile approach. My plan became to shoot for tighter shots than originally planned and more dramtic lighting.
It was a mad scramble, with a sprinkling of computer problems, but things all worked out in the end. It was a good lesson about staying focused on the goal, not the obstacles. And, thanks to my very patient model, we produced about a dozen really nice images in our short time in the studio - seven of which you'll find in the flash gallery in this post.
Have a great weekend!
