I Do All the Fishing
(no teaching)

Includes planning for, and creation of, publication-ready content for a broad range of internal uses. I work closely with your organization on a defined project that will deliver several months (or more) of photography and visual storytelling content for use in social media, website, blog, presentation, fundraising campaigns, books, print, etc.

investment: Donation to cover expenses. (3.5 day project minimum)

PERFECT FOR …
An organization with (1) a regular need for visual storytelling content, (2) an ongoing social media and fundraising strategy, and (3) struggles producing strong, relevant, current content … often relying on old, over-used pictures/videos and/or generic stock photos.
Leaders in these organizations choose to outsource specialty tasks (like photography and visual storytelling) so their team can focus on its strengths — executing and advancing the organization’s core mission.

REQUIRED …
Upfront time for planning and logistics. Clear, regular communication throughout project.

I Teach, We Fish
(… but mostly me)

I teach your staff effective visual storytelling - photography and video – and then take the lead in planning and executing a project. During our project, staff is participating on a small scale … but enough to practice what they’ve been taught. The result is publication-ready content, clarity on best practices in photography and video, as well as direction in editing for effective storytelling.

investment: Donation to cover expenses. (1 month project minimum)

PERFECT FOR …
An organization that has the time and personnel to do more in-house content creation and storytelling, but is short on expertise. This is the perfect approach for a modest to larger size organization that wants its staff to gain confidence, skill and experience in generating quality content on a regular basis.

REQUIRED …
Release of control. Staff that is willing and ready to learn. Upfront time for planning.

I Teach, You Fish
(you do all the fishing)

I customize a staff training program centered on building fundamental visual storytelling skills (primarily still photography, some video). We plan a learning project, your team, executes on that plan, then I provide feedback, and editing assistance. End result is a completed project that delivers publication-ready material (for website, social media, presentations, print, etc.). I leave your team with a project to work on independently.

investment: Donation to cover expenses. (1 month project minimum)

PERFECT FOR …
An organization on a tight budget that (1) needs better content for fundraising and ongoing communication; (2) has the time and manpower to take on content generation responsibilities; (3) has dependable donor support right now; and (4) needs help getting started with a content generation program.

REQUIRED …
Staff ready to try new approaches, make mistakes, receive feedback, and try again.
